I've linked this bug to the bugs that I think upstream tracked. If this
is the one, then it was corrected in glibc with the ChangeLog entry:

* iconv/gconv_db.c (__gconv_release_step): Fix condition of assert
call.
* iconvdata/Makefile (tests): Add tst-iconv6.
* iconvdata/tst-iconv6.c: New file.
When reporting bugs, please always include the error message, even if
you're providing a fix. If you're getting the patch from upstream CVS,
please be clear that you've done so.
