Public bug reported:
Interestingly enough, I wasn't able to submit this initially, as it was
automatically interpreted as a duplicate. Does anyone know how it
determines that? ..it would be interesting if it was by searching for
the title (44 hits, btw).
At time of this writing, there are 20 bugs listed as critical, and over
300 bugs listed as 'high'. Is it possible to knock that number down a
bit? I'm immensely pleased with how much of an improvement dapper is
over breezy, but there are some bugs that should have been fixed long
ago, simply because their difficulty to fix/inconvenience ratio is low.
Perhaps a rating system for bugs that includes an estimated difficulty
and estimated inconvenience should be created.
I don't know, but it seems to me that a lot of bugs are being overlooked
because they're small and can be done later, when the level of
inconvenience they cause is rather high.
Even if there are still many bugs open, it seems important to me to find the
ones that:
1) affect the most people
and
2) are the easiest to fix, or at least patch temporarily until a more solid fix
can be achieved (so long as the more solid fix isn't ultimately ignored).
