I filed a duplicate of this bug against gksu (didnt know that there was a package named libkgsuui, so my review of open bug reports didn't turn up anything similar)
Might i add: 1) Whatever you type after the gksu window loses focus ends up in the application having focus behind the faded desktop. Including enter, so if your unlucky you might send your password to someone on IM or IRC (parts of mine ended up in a openoffice document befor i realised what was happening). 2) The 'menu' key on a windows keyboard has the same effect as the right-click, and much easier to hit when your typing your passowrd -- When prompted to type in root password, right clicking causes the cursor to permanently disappear (no input possible then, only cancel) https://launchpad.net/bugs/45639 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
