Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.17
On edgy the 2.6.17-2 kernel does not boot and reports error messages for
the aic79xx driver similar to those seen earlier in the dapper
development cycle (see fixed bug 14394). In particular the driver
reports missing libraries with the generic name:
"spipopulate"
I am assuming that the cause of this problem is similar to that which
occured in dapper after the latest aic79xx driver was introduced into
the kernel tree.
