Public bug reported:

Subject: grip: crashes on startup
Package: grip
Version: 3.3.1-4
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

*** Please type your report below this line ***

grip was quiet, there was no audio output.
Therefore I quit grip, and restarted it with
$ grip --enable-sound
grip crashed

Now it crashes every time I start it, even without a option, or with
--disable-sound .
It crashes with media notification by gnome-voluume-manager and hal, too.

$ strace grip
