Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: konqueror

With a fresh installation of KDE, Konqueror crashes every time on at
least one website (Pubmed, the "google for the biological sciences").
There exists a simple workaround; however, it is one that the most
security-minded users might not wish to take.

Details:
This site requires that the user submit search information. By default, a fresh
install causes a warning to pop up, asking the user if it's OK to submit the
data unencrypted. If the user does _not_ alter the checkbox so that this
warning is dismissed on future occasions, then the browser crashes once the
warning box has been dismissed (often/always? requiring two dismissals on my
machine).

I verified that this happened every time for ten or more attempts before
I (not knowing this would fix it) altered the checkbox. Now the site
works fine for me. As I haven't found a way to go back to the original
state, I haven't verified that changing whatever config option back to
"ask user for confirmation before sending unencrypted data" restores the
crashing behavior.

To reproduce, try the following:
1. With a fresh user account, visit
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi

2. Do a search: in the field labelled "for" (as in, "Search Pubmed for
...") do any search at all, e.g. "olfaction".

3. When the warning dialog pops up, do _not_ alter the checkbox state.
Simply hit "OK" or whatever it says.

You should see a crash.
