Public bug reported:

Dapper doesn't use the correct Monitor (Philips 109P4). I found after
the installation the following settings in xorg.conf:

Section "Monitor"
        Identifier "Generic Monitor"
        Option "DPMS"
        HorizSync 28-51
        VertRefresh 43-60
EndSection

Which means, that the screen resolution is 1024x768 at 60Hz. I cannot
switch to a higher value with the Preferences -> Screen Resolution. I
have to modify the xorg.conf to the following settings:

Section "Monitor"
        Identifier "Philips 109P4"
        Option "DPMS"
        HorizSync 30-110
        VertRefresh 50-160
EndSection

and the Screen Section to 1600x1200 and the Monitor to "Philips 109P4".
Now i can use 1600x1200 at 85Hz.
