Public bug reported:
This bug was fixed in Debian's a2ps 1:4.13b.dfsg.1-0.2, patch
14_lp_lpr_workaround.dpatch.
The issue is that a2ps-lpr-wrapper expects -d, not -P, to indicate the
printer name, and that the expansion of @LPR_QUEUE_OPTION@ depends on
the configuration of the system on which the package is built. On
current dapper i386 builds of a2ps 1:4.13b.dfsg.1-0.1, it was expanded
to -P.
The fix:
-+Variable: lp #{lp.hook} a2ps-lpr-wrapper #{lp.options} @LPR_QUEUE_OPTION@
++Variable: lp #{lp.hook} a2ps-lpr-wrapper #{lp.options} -d
