Well, Most of the other distro support this so I wonder why it is not supportable.
My suggestion was to look in /lib/modules/ in order to get a list of the installed kernel. Those kernels will be found in /boot The actual algorithm does exactly the contrary : the kernel list is obtained from /boot but when /boot is shared it failed because the corresponding /lib/modules/foobar can not be found. Again, I do not understand why it is not supportable given the proposed change is not a major one ?
