Public bug reported:
Trying to boot from CD to install Ubuntu 6.06, after choosing "start or
install" in pre-boot menu, the screen stays on the second line "mounting
root file system..." and without the quiet option, it reveals a Kernel
Panic and the message written in the title.
Ubuntu 5.04 and 5.10 worked without a problem.
