Thanks for your report. Your idea might get more attention and have the
possibility of being implemented if you would submit a
specification for this.
You can start writing a spec following the steps described in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FeatureSpecifications.
Anyway, if you could explain with more detail the steps that you follow
up to the point when the CD refuses to eject, it will be very helpful.
It also happens to me sometimes, but I never bothered to check why, I
just clicked on Eject on the right-click menu of the CD icon. Yet, I
agree that it should just obey the eject button. Or maybe it shouldn't
and we are wrong. :-)
