Mandriva fails to say where it was reported upstream, and what was made as a 
workaround.

Workaround used: I did recompile memtest in -01 and it works again.
Looks like memtest 2.01 compiled in -Os and gcc 4.3.1 have some
troubles.

I did test with Debian Lenny about 1 week ago, I believed it was 2.01 version, 
and it worked fine.
Was using a floppy made by memtest86-make-floppy (or a name similar).
