** Description changed:

Previously reported with an older kernel here:
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/234873

  A new report was requested.

+ The difference with the new kernel, is that Network-Manager can connect to a
Wifi Access point even after booting with those errors.
+
+ However, attempting to use Wicd ( http://wicd.sf.net ) causes the network
adapter to fail. (And I prefer to use Wicd, because of a easier-to-use GUI)

When using the older generic kernel for Ubuntu 7.10, the hub functioned
perfectly with my Belkin F5D7050 wireless adapter.

But now, using Ubuntu 8.10 Alpha 5's new 2.6.27 kernel, I get the
following IO Read Errors when using my wireless adapter through the hub:

  From "dmesg"
  [ 2280.565974] zd1211rw 2-2.6:1.0: error ioread32(CR_REG1): -110
  [ 2280.609800] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready

If any other log would be helpful, I'll post them.

  Thank you for your time.
