Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-do
I'd like to get a feature freeze exception for GNOME Do 0.6 (+ plugins)
The 0.6 series will fix bug 204372.
There are a large number of useful features new in the 0.6 release, such as:
* An actual configuration dialog
* Plugin configuration, and easy selection of the active plugins
* A text mode input for more easily entering long strings of text
Do is a relatively visible package, and these improvements are (in my
opinion) fairly compelling. The 0.6 release also went through several
release candidate releases, so I'm reasonably confident that it's free
of showstopper bugs.
Note that this is the buildlog for the 0.6.0.0-1 debian package
currently sitting in pkg-cli-apps svn. I hope to get that sponsored to
Debian and synced to Intrepid, but I'll change the Ubuntuize the version
and upload straight to Intrepid if that takes more than a couple of
days.
