** Description changed: ok so when ubuntu loads it freezes and the caps lock indicator flashes. text only mode outputs: Kernel Panic - not syncing: Aiee, killing interrupt handler! ---then dies when i first installed hardy hardin 64 bit i had this problem. even from booting off livecd. 32 bit ran fine. i installed/ran intrepid ibex alpha 4 for like 3/4 weeks, until there was some sort of kernel update on ~august 30, which reintroduced the problem into intrepid ibex the whole problem I posted here before i tried initially installing intrepid: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/42508 + + when grub now boots, it has 3 more options: the standard boot, recovery + mode, and last successful boot---- except that its with a different + kernel version.
