To correct the problem, on ubuntu, install package imagemagick : apt://imagemagick Then, execute : for i in /usr/share/pixmaps/pidgin/tray/22/*.png; do file $i | grep -q '24 x 24' && sudo mogrify -crop 22x22+1+1 $i; done
