Thank you for reporting this issue.
Considering that:
1) The swing webui plugin is pure java,
2) The plugin is not shipped with the azureus package,
I think this is not an azureus bug but an openjdk one.
Could you please also try with sun-java6-jre on the remote machine
instead of openjdk?
