I tested it on Intrepid alpha 5 (x86), and my playback experience is almost identical to the one Hardy provides.
I have just 1 more playback complaint (goes for both Hardy x86 and Intrepid alpha 5 x86 editions only), which is, that when I boot and I had external speakers plugged into the 3.5 mm speaker output prior to booting, the internal speakers won't get muted until I plug them out and back in again. Maybe something can be done about that? Perhaps maybe it can be done by using intelligent jack-sensing that's activated before starting up the graphical framework (X, GDM/KDM/XDM) (according to Lennart Poettering this should be possible with pulseAudio, see http://swik.net/GNOME/Planet+GNOME/Lennart+Poettering:+PulseAudio+FUD/caqpv ). -- {Gutsy beta] No sound whatsoever on znote 6625WD (HDA intel Realtek ALC268 codec) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149183 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
