Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
Hi guys, I don't know what happened but as of 30 August 2008, I have not
been able to get new messages into my inbox.
I open Evolution as usual, then I click the "plug" symbol to go online, I click
the send/receive button which informs me that it is getting message 1 of 10 or
whatever, it then expunges the mail server, all this is normal but, the new
messages are not displayed in the inbox folder {this normally turns to bold
print with the number of unread messages in ()}. So I have no idea what happens
to the incoming mail and I can't read the email.
I tried reinstalling from Synaptic, - no change.
I can send emails from Evolution with out any trouble and I can see all my read
emails, access the different folders and so on but the new email don't show up!
I have started using Thunderbird which works fine but I prefer Evolution.
Any ideas?
I am using Ubuntu Hardy Heron
Cheers Pat
