Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: dirmngr

Due to Bug 259436 I am not able to add the report to the Wiki. It would
be very nice if someone could act as kind of proxy and add it to the
Wiki though.

I hope you can accept this report even without wiki page.

1. Availability: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/d/dirmngr/;
available for all supported architectures
2. Rationale:
 * Dependency of kleopatra which is seeded on the Kubuntu DVD
3. Security:
 * CVE entries: none
 * Secunia history: none
 * /usr/bin/dirmngr running as root. The daemon is called dirmngr.
 * Network activity: does not open any port. Does not handle incoming network
data
 * Does not directly process binary data
 * No known source code review performed
4. Quality assurance:
 * Always works out of the box without configuration
 * Does not ask any debconf questions
 * Debian bugs: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=459567
 * Maintenance in Debian (http://packages.qa.debian.org/d/dirmngr.html) is calm
 * http://www.gnupg.org/aegypten2/index.html is very calm
 * No known Upstream bug tracker. The project (dirmngr is part of the Ägypten2
project) is pretty complete, but other gnupg work continues.
 * Hardware: Does not deal with hardware
 * There is no test suite in the upstream source or packaging
5. Standards compliance:
 * FHS, Debian Policy compliant
 * Debian library packaging guide standards compliant
 * Packaging system cdbs.
6. Dependencies:
 * adduser, libc6, libgcrypt11, libgpg-error0, libksba8, libldap-2.4-2,
libpth20, lsb-base
 * all in main
7. Background information:
 * The general purpose and context of the package is clear from the package's
debian/control file.
 * Upstream calls it dirmngr

** Affects: dirmngr (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
