Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: network-manager
Using hardy 8.04.1, with 2.6.27-2 from intrepid, and N-M
0.7~~svn20080818t061112+eni1-0ubuntu1~nm1~hardy1 from the N-M PPA. My system is
a Thinkpad X60.
I attempted to join a wireless network with WPA. I then continuously got
associated, authenticated, deauthenticated and deassociated from the
network. While this was happening, my entire system became unresponsive:
the mouse worked, so I could change windows etc., but the keyboard did
not and I could not start new processes. Manually turning off the
wireless switch made the system become responsive again.
After rebooting the problem went away and I was able to join the network
successfully.
** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
