Yes, solr-tomcat5.5 installs a link in /etc/tomcat5.5/policy.d but the
link won't work until solr-tomcat5.5 is configured, preventing tomcat5.5
configuration to succeed.
It should not use links but place files directly in /etc/tomcat5.5/policy.d and
/etc/tomcat5.5/Catalina/localhost/.
This is a solr-tomcat5.5 bug rather than a tomcat5.5 one. Updating accordingly.
Reproduction on hardy:
$ sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jdk solr-tomcat5.5
** Changed in: tomcat5.5 (Ubuntu)
Status: Confirmed => Invalid
** Also affects: solr (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 212536
[hardy] installation fails: cat: /etc/tomcat5.5/policy.d/05solr.policy: No
such file or directory
