Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: blobwars

Debian bug 495484 states that the music and sounds in Blobwars are non-
free.

"The music and sounds in Blobwars are taken from various "free" online
repositories, which allow distribution and non-commercial use at the
minimum, but not necessarily DFSG[1]-free. Some sounds and music files
may be in the public domain, but this is not clear yet. The sounds and
music should be split into a blobwars-data-nonfree package."

[1] DFSG- Debian Free Software Guidelines

As a result of the bug report, Debian created a new package version,
1.08-dfsg-1, in Debian unstable, with the following changelog from version
1.08-1 (in Intrepid):

   * Remove all music and sound files from the upstream tarball, as they are
     not DFSG compliant. Closes: #495484
   * Do not put all data files in one PAK file anymore.
   * Put the other data files into a blobwars-data package. Closes: #288173
   * Ignore missing sound and music files.

To keep universe free as in freedom, this change should be synced from
Debian.

But even more importantly, the upstream vendor of Blob Wars states the
following in the Blob Wars home page under section "License":

"Source code is distributed under the GNU General Public License.
Resources are Non Free. This game should not be added to Linux
distributions or respositories. "
