Thanks. So in Feisty with -ati 6.6.3 you were running at AGP 1x (the "01" in 
0x1f000201 below):
(II) RADEON(0): [agp] Mode 0x1f000201 [AGP 0x1106/0x0305; Card 0x1002/0x514c]
I suppose you had the BIOS set to "optimized" 4x at that time?
