Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome
Installed intrepid alpha 5 a couple of days ago and everything was
working fine after a few updates were install. Then following a reboot
after some updates yesterday (11th Sept) gnome no longer fully loads. I
get the ubuntu splash no problems, then the 'wait' cursor, then a mouse
pointer and the creamy background are displayed. The mouse cursor is
responsive, but nothing further happens, despite leaving it for 10mins.
I have tried the last successful boot, but the same thing happens, as I
assume it thinks that it booted successfully. I have tried the repair
options in the 'safe' boot. Also tried apt-get update/upgrade/dist-
upgrade to no avail.
If any further information is required, please let me know.
** Affects: meta-gnome2 (Ubuntu)
