I have checked both at Ubuntu Packages and at Launchpad Packages, and there is no Kdenlive for either Feisty or Dapper.
Feisty and Dapper are currently supported versions of Ubuntu. Anybody who is doing video would be interested in This program (written by Dan Dennedy who made Kino). It is inconvenient to have to upgrade to a later version of Ubuntu - especially as the settings for the way the firewire system, and audio systems change between versions, and occasionally get broken through the upgrade - these are risks that multimedia users do not always wish to take. There are frequent comments about there not being a good linux video editor - Kdenlive is looking good. Please help it be the definitive easy video for Ubuntu by compiling versions for Feisty and Dapper, for architectures including i386, AMD64 (a good multimedia platform), and other CPU types. And maybe other previous versions of Ubuntu also. ** Tags added: editor multitrack ** Description changed: Kdenlive video editor for linux URL: http://www.kdenlive.org/ Description: Kdenlive is a multitrack non linear video editor for the KDE environment running on Linux.
