You may need to close the bug, it would take a complete fresh install to gather the information you requested because I had to install a different video card to get past the issue. Then I did a fresh install of ubuntu and gave the system to my son who lives 5 hours away. I would need to get the system back and start over to recreate the issue. I do have another identical (less the new video car) system I could experiment with but I'll have to buy memory for it I can start.
I really don't see that you can help ME right now, but just tonight on the Ubuntu forums, someone else posted the EXACT same issue on their freshly installed system. Perhaps I could direct them to this bug report and some more information would be contributed from that user. Thanks - I understand and I don't expect you fix something without information.
