Tried to update kernel 2.6.24-21-generic now my screen resolution has a
maximum setting of 600x420. Reverted to old kernel (2.6.24-18-generic) -
same thing. Tried nvidia settings manager to no avail. Uninstalled and
reinstalled hardware driver with no effect Previously operated at
1024x768. Specs - CPU amd 4800+, GPU nvidia 8600gt, 2gb RAM, 17" HP LCD
