The coretemp scale change is normal, and is explained here: http://kerneltrap.org/mailarchive/linux-kernel/2008/4/29/1661864 --- The thing is, the temperature is stored as a relative value in the CPU. Relative to what, depends on the CPU model, can be 85°C or 100°C. Up to kernel 2.6.24 we had a set of rules to find out, in 2.6.25 we have a presumably better heuristic. So some people have seen their CPU temperature climb by 15°C and others drop by 15°C, that's expected. ---
I don't think it explains the keyboard hangs and blocked tasks at all, so maybe that's something else. I'll try 2.6.27-3 soon. -- linux 2.6.27-2.3: coretemp reads 15C too hot, and keyboard is occasionally unresponsive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/264290 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
