Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) contains a version of update-fonts-dir that
was modified 2007-11-13. That version no longer exhibits this bug. For
example,
/usr/sbin/update-fonts-dir misc
will only look in /usr/share/fonts/X11/misc now, and no longer in
/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc. Therefore this bug can be closed.
