Public bug reported:

Using Intrepid Alpha 5 with latest updates, I noted a regression between
2.6.27-2 and 2.6.27-3. With the -3 package, my laptop is unable to
resume from suspend. When the lid is opened, the backlight comes on and
the cursor blinks, but then it hangs forever. Caps lock is
nonresponsive, and the alt-sysrq key combinations do nothing. The
laptop must hard powered down by holding the power button.

To reproduce the problem is easy: boot the 2.6.27-3 kernel, and press
the moon key to sleep and wake the computer repeatedly, until it fails
to resume. For me, it usually fails to resume on the third attempt.

With the 2.6.27-2 kernel I can suspend and resume the machine as many
times as I want, and it works fine. Therefore I believe the regression
lies between the two packages.
