I am re-opening this bug because I am able to reproduce this problem.
While playing a full screen game (Nexuiz) a libnotify balloon popped up
from Pidgin. As soon as it disappeared the game froze and everything
became unresponsive. I was finally able to get to a tty and kill Nexuiz
after a while. It's not connected to Compiz because I was able to
reproduce it with and without Compiz running. I'm running Hardy.
