I have a Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 02),
and I can get the microphone to play through the speakers, but I can't get any
apps to play any sound. I've tried Flash in Firefox, Rhythmbox, and Totem.
The "Test" sound from the sound properties doesn't work either.
I've tried both the PulseAudio and Alsa options in the sound preferences.
The sound works fine with Hardy.
