This seems to be what is happening to me about every 30-60 minutes on Hardy.
I'm running the backport modules, and it has not helped at all. The only issue I am having here, is that I can get the error to happen on the alt+ctrl+f1 screen, however, it is larger than the screen, so I cannot see all the details. I am attaching the logs as requested. I have already had several kernel panics today, over the last 6 hours (15th of September).
