('ubiquity --debug' isn't supposed to help *you*; it's supposed to give
us more information. In any case, you only need to use it when an
installer developer asks you to do so, which we wouldn't have done in
this case.)
This looks like unionfs trouble, and if memory serves we fixed some of
that towards the end of the 7.10 cycle. Can you reproduce this with
final 7.10, or even better with 8.04.1?
