Don't know if it's still from interest but with the following command on commandline
gst-launch pulsesrc device=foo.monitor ! queue ! audio/x-raw- int,rate=44100,channels=2 ! audioconvert ! lame vbr=0 bitrate=192 ! filesink location=output.mp3 recording works as long as you try recording creating wave-files, i get also the failure-message mentioned above (Also look http://oshelpdesk.org/?p=714) Foo.monitor is to replace by the device you will record with. i used the monitor device of pulseaudio for my system it's: alsa_output.pci_1002_4383_sound_card_0_alsa_playback_0.monitor with gconf-editor i edited the value for /system/gstreamer/0.10/default/audiosrc with pulsesrc alsa_output.pci_1002_4383_sound_card_0_alsa_playback_0.monitor and i'm able to record with gnome-sound-recorder the actual output of pulseaudio (e.g. myspace) If you try changing the value with gstreaner-proberties this will lead to resetting the values you set in gconf-editor BTW sorry for my poor english, hope you'll understand!! -- gnome-sound-recorder fails to record sound https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/229168 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
