The conspiracy comments here about Google and Chrome are completely unfounded. We've been working on licensing issues for quite a few months now, well ahead of the Google announcement and the two would be unrelated anyway. We don't think like that.
The fact that we still show a license even without official branding is just a bug - simple as that. Jeff Spaleta's posts about Firefox and Fedora are probably the best information that I've seen from the Fedora / Red Hat side and it's something that's worth looking at since they solved it in a way that managed to not offend users.
