Also confirmed with a Brother printer on Kub 8.0.4.1. system-config- printer-kde is indeed the correct package because removing it got rid of this annoying applet. That applet was also the only thing on my system causing python to be loaded all the time. What is Kubuntu thinking using such a thing as that?
FYI you can run kjobviewer --all --show %i %m This applet also shows/controls print jobs, but doesn't use python, and fully quits when the print jobs are done. I associate it with a keyboard shortcut so I can call it up when I want it. -- Document Print Status applet doesn't refresh status https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246878 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
