20080916 daily build CD Live ran and installed on my Compaq Presario, which would seem to resolve this bug however on my IBM Thinkpad R31 the same CD Live CD gets up to the point where the Gnome background Hardy Heron should install, then hangs. Dead keyboard, black screen with a cursor. That's bug 259385 which was resolved now back again.
I'll try Alpha 6 when it comes out 9/18 or thereabouts.
