The original poster's bug is fixed, as of a fair while ago (1.2.4-5).
Alessandro Decina's problem is a different one - can you please try with
a recent Mono (preferably on Intrepid) to see if it still happens, and
report a new bug if it does? Keeping multiple unrelated bugs inside the
same bug report makes it very hard to keep track of what's solved and
what isn't
