Indeed. The code goes back to prior 2005 and I missed this issue when
separating the backend and the gui code back in early 2007.
Formerly the code was located in dialog_apt_key.py.
In the end the error method should just show an error dialog. I will
prepare a patch.
Actually the KDE frontend does things right.
