I don't mean to sound dismissive, but there's no possible way for the
symptoms you describe to be caused by installing mono-mcs - at a push,
there's something terribly wrong with your kernel or RAM, but mono-mcs
package installation is a simple unzip job - it does not go near your
hardware enough to cause problems of this nature
