I ma sorry but I am just a dumb user that needs usb for my kvm, and
after reading all this I still don't have a clue as to what to do.

It would be nice if it just worked as it's expected to work, that's what
99% of the users expect especially as kvm is the official virtulizer of
choice for Ubuntu.

I also  recommend a really nice user console like that in vmware server
where everything can be set up very easily with out a bunch of cli-ing.

But lacking that, for the average knuckle head user like me what do I
need to do to get usb working on my kvm, in as simple a terms as
possible.
