Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thunderbird

I have 6 mail accounts in thunderbird. I also have the separate program
mail-notification running, so I can see when mail has arrived without
checking thunderbird. When clicking "Get Mail", the status bar claims it
is checking my accounts, but will report that there are no new messages
on the server even when I know there are. Selecting the individual
account from the "Get Mail" drop down menu works fine, as well as the
check on startup, and the check every 5 min.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Have a number of mail accounts
2) Have mail in at least one of them
3) Press "Get Mail"

What should happen:
4) All mail is retrieved into the appropriate accounts

What actually happens:
4) The status bar reports "There are no new messages on the server"
