It’s not the ordering. It’s the config in 53-monospace-lcd-filter.conf The reason this file is there is that when lcddefault was introduced some of the developers weren’t happy with the look of monospace fonts in their terminal at low point sizes. So a compromise was made to move to the new way but to special case terminals, which was where the vetoers spent most of their time.
