seeing the same issue with netbook-launcher pulled in through the ubuntu-mobile
metapackage on the samsung Q1 ultra in intrepid i noticed that it doesnt seem
to happen all the time, every 10th to 20th boot the fonts for categories and
the iconview show up fine (folder text bing still broken), though after next
reboot/restart of the desktop the problem is back ...
it appears to be triggered by the first redraw of the screen and i wonder if
its not actually an intel driver prob, seems all people commenting here use the
intel driver.
