Remarking as confirmed. I recently upraded my wife's laptop to Hardy,
and it exhibits this behavior. Left click on desktop does not hide
stickynotes, and it used to. This is an IBM Thinkpad T42 (i386) with
ATI Radeon 7500 On Hardy. Also, my laptop running up to date Intrepid
exhibits the same issue. Neither can run compiz, and only run metacity.
