I compiled alsa 1.0.16 (alsa-driver, alsa-firmware, alsa-lib and alsa- utils) downloaded from the official page. I hadn't have any special consideration to do it, only select the module to compile (hda-intel).
I did this on February, so I don't remember clearly where I found the instructions to do that, but you should follow the typical steps to compile alsa (search the alsa documentation in the official website or ask Google). Right now I am using Gentoo Linux, and here I do not have any problem (I suppose that Gentoo-Kernel is patched to work. Also, it is version 2.6.25 and Ubuntu is 2.6.24). I am sorry I can't help a bit more. -- Microphone don't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/217562 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
