First I install postgresql-8.2 and then postgresql-8.3. In the /etc/postgresql/8.2/main/postgresql.conf I fount the right cinfig, but in /etc/postgresql/8.3/main/postgresql.conf there is no working configuration. To configure the postgresql I used only debconf which ran itself automatically after the installation.I did not use another graphical tool to change postgresql.conf
