Hi Jeff,

Just posting the email you had sent me directly:

"Sorry for the delayed response. I tried Alpha 5 but would not complete
boot. Might have been a bad burn on my part and being short on time, I
did not trouble shoot the disc or try another burn.

Regardless, I did get Alpha 6 to boot and wireless card must have been
recognized as when I entered the details of my wireless network it
promptly connected and I was able to surf from the Live User session. If
this experience will be consistent in the final release of 8.10 in about
5 weeks, I will likely commit to the upgrade.

Thanks for the extra effort. Best regards to all!"

Based on your feedback that Alpha6 appears to have resolved this issue,
it's likely this should indeed also be resolved for the Intrepid final
releas at the end of October. I'm going to tentatively mark this "Fix
Released" for now. However, If you notice any regressions regarding
this issue prior to Intrepid's final release, please feel free to reopen
by setting the status back to "New". Thanks.

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
       Status: Incomplete => Fix Released
